This position is for the 2023-2024 school year.

Perform advanced-level secretarial duties requiring independent judgement and analysis for a district director or coordinator of a district-wide program or function; plan, organize and coordinate office activities and communications to relieve the director of routine administrative and clerical details; experience in  preparing documents, spreadsheets, basic accounting practices, and web design. The position will require multitasking, answering phones, radio dispatch duties and ability to utilize routing software.

This position is 8 hours per day and 260 days per year.  Contracted days will be adjusted depending upon start date.  (Considered full time with benefits - see below)

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and provide a copy to HR upon recommendation to hire

Step 0:  $17.26 per hour

Step 10: $20.80 per hour

New employees to the district may bring in up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience. (NOTE:  It will be the responsibility of the applicant hired to submit the BCPS verification of experience form to their prior employer to complete and return to HR.)

Although Classified positions are paid on an hourly rate, salary is set up on a year-long contract and divided by the number of remaining paychecks.  This position is considered a twelve month employee on the pay schedule.
